Broccardo Barolo Paiagallo DOCG (2018)
Paiagallo is one of Barolo’s most distinct Cru vineyards; it is an amphitheater with perfect southeast exposure on limestone rich soils. The aromas that plume from the glass are striking with raspberries, watermelon, balsamic, fresh cherries, roses with a twist of earth and chocolate orange. Medium to full-bodied with fine, slightly firm tannins and plenty of acidity-driven fruit flavor. The finish is long and elegant with a perfume-like quality that is so attractive in young, drinkable Nebbiolo. Give this a year or two to settle.
